Deepest part of the ocean

The deepest part of the ocean is 10 924 meters (35 840feet) or 10.924km below sea level in the Mariana Trench. So its over the 9km that we thought it was in class. The name of this location is Challenger Deep and is named after the British survey ship Challenger II.
